Blocked ID - What can I do?
Some riders suddenly find themselves in a situation where their account ID—which they use to login and accept delivery orders—has been blocked. Here you will find important information and possible courses of action.
My Rider ID was suddenly blocked — what should I do?
-
1. I am an employee and my Rider ID was suddenly blocked.
Are you employed by a delivery service company? Then the protective mechanisms for employees apply to you! This means:
Continued payment of wages
- If you want to work and your employer does not allow you to (e.g., because your account has been blocked), they must still pay you your wages.
- This is regulated by default of acceptance: according to this, an employee is entitled to wages if they want to work but are prevented from doing so by their employer (regulated in § 615 BGB).
DSGVO (Datenschutz-Grundverordnung)
- You can request that the platform operator informs you why your account has been blocked and what data led to this decision (ratings, reported violations, automated scoring values, etc.).
- You have the right to correction if incorrect data or erroneous ratings led to your suspension.
- You can request that decisions are not based solely on automated processes, but that a human being reviews the suspension and makes the reasons transparent (if the automated decision has legal implications for you or significantly affects you, e.g., loss of income).
Protection against dismissal
- A suspension that results in you no longer being able to obtain work can be considered as a dismissal.
- In this case, the Termination Protection Act/Kündigungsschutzgesetz applies to you as an employee.

- Contact your union or a suitable advice center, such as the Berlin Advice Center for Migration and Good Work/ Berliner Zentrum für Migration und Gute Arbeit (BEMA).

Reason and appeal
- The delivery service platform must explain why your account has been restricted or blocked.
- This obligation to provide reasons is regulated in the P2B Regulation (enforced by the Federal Network Agency).
- Blocking must not be arbitrary, but must have a legal basis in the terms and conditions.
- You can lodge an appeal.
